What should I consider when commissioning an ecoQ DryAir 9L steady?

Answer

The dehumidifier should be placed in an upright position on a stable, level surface. Maintain a minimum distance of 60 cm from wet areas and washbasins, and 20 cm from walls. The unit must always be stored in an upright position to prevent irreparable damage. The device must not be tilted during operation. It is designed exclusively for vertical use. Do not use the unit near heat sources. Do not store or use gasoline, paint, solvents, or other flammable vapours or liquids near this device or any other appliance. Do not operate this device if flammable gases or liquids may be released or accumulate. This dehumidifier can be operated at ambient temperatures between 1 °C and 32 °C.

The air outlet louvre must always be open when the device is in use. Do not cover or restrict airflow from the outlet or inlet grilles. The main power plug must never be used as an on/off switch for the dehumidifier, and no external timer or time switch may be used. Only the ON/OFF button on the top of the device may be used to switch the unit on or off. After pressing the OFF button, the device will continue to operate for approximately 3–4 minutes. This is normal and ensures that the drying wheel is completely drained. Avoid restarting the dehumidifier unless at least 5 minutes have passed since switching it off.

Laundry must not be dried directly above the device. To prevent water from entering the dehumidifier, laundry should be placed at least 40 cm away from the unit.

The filters or grilles of the device must always be kept clean. Under normal conditions, filters or grilles only need to be cleaned approximately every three weeks. Do not use the device without the air intake filter, as dirt may accumulate inside the dehumidifier and invalidate the warranty. A dirty filter restricts airflow into the unit, increases fan resistance, and may cause damage, thereby voiding the warranty.

Since the filter removes particles from the air, more frequent cleaning may be required depending on air quality. Vacuum dust from the filter, or wash it with hot soapy water and allow it to dry completely before reinstalling it in the device.

The device is switched on using the POWER button. The HUMIDITY button is then used to set the desired humidity level. We recommend operating the device in continuous mode [Co] for the first 24 hours. To save energy, do not open windows or doors while the device is operating.
