Why is the humidity not decreasing?
Answer
There could be several reasons for this, for example if the dehumidifier has not been running long enough. Please ensure that the device is switched on to reduce the humidity. The device only works if the target humidity is lower than the prevailing relative humidity.
It may also be because the room is not closed. In this case, check that all windows and doors are closed. However, if the room is simply too large, this may also be the cause.
Perhaps the ambient temperature is too low. With so-called condensation dehumidifiers, it has been shown that temperatures above 10°C are required for efficient dehumidification.
However, if the device's filter is too dirty, this may also be the cause, as too little air is being drawn in by the device.
