What does E2 display mean?

Answer:

If the water level in the tank is too low during sleep mode, the operating display shows the code E2. The fan remains active at medium speed for 10 hours to dry the evaporation mat and then switches off automatically. This can also be found in the operating instructions on page 77.

Solution:

Refill the water tank. Make sure that you either remove the water tank and reinsert it or that you switch the appliance off briefly and then on again.
