Air quality

The CleanAir 800 removes odours, pollution, viruses, bacteria, pollen, dust mites, mould spores, animal hair and volatile organic compounds (VOC) from the air. The unit is equipped with two sensors to measure air quality. One sensor measures fine dust particles and the other measures volatile organic compound (VOC) levels. The measurements from both sensors are shown separately on the display. In addition, a summary of the evaluation is shown in colour at the top of the unit.

Fine dust particles

The number on the display shows the level of particulate matter in the air. This is shown in micrograms per cubic metre (µg/m³). The lower the number, the lower the particle load and the better the air quality. The device measures fine dust particles, with a size of 2.5 micrometres (=0.0025mm) and smaller. These particles are commonly called PM2.5. If the reading is between 0-100 micrograms, the air quality is still OK. Air quality decreases at higher levels.

VOC

Volatile organic compounds (VOC) are displayed in four levels. The designations L, M, H and H+ appear as levels on the display, describing the strength of the air pollution.

L
Low
Light pollution
M
Medium
Medium pollution
H
High
High pollution
H+
High Plus
Very high pollution
